Gear Down Protection (GDP)

 

The document will address unique Gear Down Protection functionality for 2008 and 2009 MaxxForce® 11L and 13L engines.

 

For most applications; refer to the GDP feature document.

  • This feature is in calibrations EOMA, EOMB, EOMC, EOMD or newer calibrations
 
If the engine:
  • Was ordered prior to October 5, 2009
  • And has not had a calibration update after October 5,2009
Then the engine will have a Legacy GDP feature. For this type of GDP feature you will need to update the calibration or refer to the Legacy GDP document.
